Cape Town Rank Tops at World Travel Awards
The Western Cape and Cape Town just grabbed top awards in a variety of categories during the World Travel Awards 2009. Arabella Estate – Golf Course, Hotel and Spa
During the awards Cape Town was ranked as the top city in Africa. The continents best hotel was named as the Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town at the base of the majestic Table Mountain and Fancourt Golf Estate as continents best Golf Estate.V&A Waterfront
If you are looking for a luxuary train trip in Africa then the Blue Train was rated the best. But when it came to the Luxuary Spa and Hotel division then the Arabella Hotel and Spa in the Overberg Region of the Western Cape was named the best of the best.
Mariette du Toit-Helmbold, CEO of Cape Town Tourism, said: “We are very proud to accept this award on behalf of the tourism industry and the people of Cape Town. It is testament to their dedication to making this city one of the world’s favourite destinations.”
Even though everyone all over the world is being affected by the Credit Crunch South Africa and Cape Town in particular is see as a cost effect destination from hotels to activities. You cannot go wrong when you choose Cape Town.
