Looking for the Perfect Easter Brunch?

When you have a lot of family around, having everyone over for Easter, spending hours in the kitchen and having more food than you can imagine might be the way to go, but sometimes, it’s great to escape to a local restaurant and not have to worry about stepping a foot in the kitchen. Leave the work up to some of the fabulous chefs we have around the area. Here are some details on what some of the local restaurants are offering.

Palm Beach County

  • Zed 451: Sample some of Zed’s new brunch items in Boca Raton including Crab Cake Benedict, Chicken and Waffles and fruits, pastries and desserts. Strawberry Basil Mimosa anyone? Press your luck as servers will be handing out golden eggs full of surprise gifts including spa certificates, movie passes and more. Will Sunday be your lucky day? Cost: $35 for adults, $17.50 for kids 7-10 (under 6 eat free). Time: 11:30 – 4:00 pm.
  • Opus 5 in Boca is offering a special prix fixe 3-course dinner menu. Entree choices include a roast turkey dinner with all the add-ons, a roast loin of lamb with sweet potato gratin, baby green beans and mint au jus, a cedar planked salmon with a horseradish crust or a crusted local black grouper. Cost: starts at $24 per person
  • Taverna Opa in Cityplace will be offering a prix fixe menu. Menu choices include the choice of Rotisserie Barbecued Whole Baby Lamb, or Manna’s Easter Sunday Lamb Shank, or Greek Chicken. Entrees are served with a Greek salad, lemon-oregano potatoes, basmati rice, fresh green beans, and a selection of Greek pastries. Cost: $19.95, per person, $12.95 for children aged 12 and under. The regular menu will also be available. Time: 11:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m.

Broward County

  • Joseph’s on the Water in Hallandale will be offering a special Easter menu with 9 dinners for only $19.95 each. Time: 1:00 pm
  • Himmarshee Bar & Grille will be offering their a la carte Sunday Brunch menu from noon until 2:00 pm. They also offer a 3 course menu for $39 and their full menu will be available from 2:00 – 8:00 pm.
  • There doesn’t seem to be many special Easter menus planned for Broward County, but visit Open Table for details on restaurants in South Florida, to find out what they are offering and to make your reservations for Easter Sunday (or any other day of the year).

Miami-Dade County

  • Area 31 at the Epic Hotel in Miami: Start this holiday off right with live music and unlimited Mimosa, Bloody Marys, Prosecco or a selection of fruit juices. Then, fill your plate with items from the buffet including breakfast breads, cured meat and cheeses, ceviche, domestic caviars and blinis. If hot food is more your style, enjoy waffles, pancakes, steak frites, grilled Corvina or baked rigatoni. They will also have a meat carving station and an omelette station. Sitting is both indoors and out and the view outside is spectacular. Cost: $60 ++, $20 ++ for children 6-15. Time: noon – 3:00 pm
  • Texas de Brazil is also offering a brunch and will include their gourmet salad area, Easter food items such as scrambled eggs, pastries and fruit salad and of course, their generous selection of meat cooked in the traditional Brazilian Churrascaria style and served tableside. Cost: $44.99 per person and is served from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. Dinner will also be available that evening for $34.99 per person.
  • 1 Bleu is offering a 3-course prix fixe menu. Start your meal off with a George Blanc Potato Fritter with Osetra Caviar, continue your meal with such options as a Paradise Farms Organic Greens Salad, Maine Lobster Brulee, Butternut Squash Ravioli. Bourbon Glazed Berkshire Pork Chop or Pistachio Crusted Lamb Rack with Sunchoke Puree. Cost: $65 ++ and includes a glass of champagne. $25++ for children 3-12. Time: noon – 6:00 pm
