Breaking $100

If you are planning to visit Buenos Aires just bear this in mind. Breaking a $100 pesos bill in Buenos Aires is almost always really hard. The $100 pesos bill is worth about $40 Canadian dollars or U$S30, but breaking it is about the same as trying to buy a pack of gum with a U$S100 bill in the US. The stange thing is that $100 pesos bills are the most common bills to get at ATM´s. So I recommend that whenever you buy something over $50 pesos try to use a $100 pesos bill if you have one, just so you can hoard the smaller bills you receive back. Also try to use them whenever you go to the big store or a shopping mall, because small merchants hate breaking them. Be a smart traveller.
